I curated this exhibit at the McHenry Museum in 2018, at the end of my senior year of high school as a way of saying goodbye to early teenhood/high school. The exhibition features photographs, paintings, and drawings submitted by high schoolers about high school.
Conceptually, the exhibit was meant to envelop guests in the world of the teen. There were large, mural photographs of empty teenage bedrooms adorning the walls, cut-outs of text messages sent by teenagers, and even a video installation I created of a conversation between two of my friends. These elements came together synergistically to create a modern day gesamtkunstwerk that reflects the introspectivity of teen life.
